For most of my life, I have struggled financially, failed in numerous businesses & even was partially homeless at one point, waking up with lint & roaches in my pockets- standing in soup kitchen lines and crying through the night. I know what it feels like to loose just about everything to the point where my office became the public library, (which I still use occasionally) I’m calling clients from a payphone & asking them to pay me in cash because my bank account was so negative.

My family and I have learned gratefulness for the smallest things through living in lack for so long. I thank God they are still with me although there were times I almost lost them due to financial problems, being laid off with few skills, diabetes, hypertension and numerous other health, mental & financial problems. I know too well what it feels like to reach the end of yourself and beyond into that dark, paralyzing, lonely abyss of despair. What I found there (or what found me) was My Holy Spirit just waiting for me to fully surrender so that it could pick me up & carry me through. That is where I heard these two words from WITHIN spoken to to the core of my soul:

This Changed Everything

As I am writing this, I am filled with mixed emotions about many things. I appear to be this busy entrepreneur sitting poolside while my family is taking advantage of this Platinum Life moment, fully engaged in the pool and splashing away. They are having a great time taking full advantage of every amenity the pool area has to offer. I can’t help but notice the similarity of this moment to life itself. There are so many people (myself included) just sitting/laying by the edge of the pool somewhat involved in all the fun activities but

Scared to get wet.

…and then there are others, fully committed and enjoying ALL the pool has to offer! It’s kinda like the morning’s breakfast menu (bacon and eggs) The chicken was involved – but the pig was totally committed. So it is in life,

 

You have to jump ALL in to experience ALL the benefits!…

This Changed Everything

It’s very easy to come up with reasons (excuses) to NOT commit and jump in but in life, excuses do not serve us. That being said, immediately after writing this……

 

I’M JUMPING IN!!!

It is definitely time to get my hair wet both in the pool and in life. I have heard that the quickest way to learn how to swim is to just jump in. I did not learn that way. I actually took swimming lessons as a kid. I’m an alright swimmer but nowhere close to a “Michael Phelps” but if I put the time in the water that he puts in, (commitment) I know I can become REALLY good at it. Most people can’t handle boredom. That means they can’t stay on one thing until they get good at it. I plan on getting really good at creating a Platinum Lifestyle for me and my family. That means that I will be “jumping in” to learn as quick as possible, increasing my failure rate fast so that my success rate can be reached faster. At the same time, I will also be taking lessons from those who have reached what I am reaching for. I realize that I will have to serve an apprenticeship and endure hours of study, practice and drudgery to master certain skills as well as master myself first and foremost. I’m ready for it. I WILL reach my goals or I will die attempting. NO MORE EXCUSES!
